Why work for us?
- You will take on a visible and business-critical legal role in a leading German energy contracting company that is part of an international and dynamically growing energy services group.
- You will work closely with local management and operational teams and have a direct impact on commercial projects, customer relationships and risk management.
- You will have the opportunity to build and shape the legal function in a newly acquired company and support its integration into the wider Elevion Group.
- You will be part of a business focused on sustainable energy solutions, heating-related contracting, energy efficiency and practical decarbonisation.
- You will cooperate with experienced colleagues across the Elevion Group, including group legal, compliance, finance and management functions.
- You will gain broad exposure to commercial contracts, governance, compliance, project-related legal work and strategic business matters.
- We offer an international and collaborative environment, professional development opportunities and stable employment within a strong and financially sound group.
- Competitive employee benefits.
What will you do?
- Act as the main legal contact and trusted advisor for the local management team and operational business units in Germany.
- Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice on day-to-day legal matters relating to energy contracting, heat supply, energy services and related commercial operations.
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including in particular energy contracting agreements, heat supply and energy services agreements, customer contracts, supplier contracts, subcontractor arrangements, service, maintenance and project-related agreements, framework agreements, amendments and settlement arrangements.
- Support tendering processes, project development, project implementation and operational phases of energy contracting projects from a legal perspective.
- Advise on legal risks and contractual structures in relation to heating-related contracting, energy supply models, construction/interface matters, performance obligations, price adjustment mechanisms, liability, termination rights and long-term customer relationships.
- Work closely with sales, project development, operations, finance and management teams to identify legal risks early and help develop commercially workable solutions.
- Handle general corporate governance matters, including preparation and coordination of management body and shareholder approvals, powers of attorney and internal delegations, corporate housekeeping and document management, internal decision-making processes and coordination of governance requirements with group standards.
- Support the company’s post-acquisition integration into the wider Elevion Group, including alignment with group legal, governance and compliance standards.
- Support compliance-related matters, including implementation and coordination of group policies, anti-corruption rules, sanctions checks, conflicts of interest processes, whistleblowing procedures, data protection coordination and other relevant compliance processes.
- Coordinate with group legal, compliance and headquarters functions, including regular reporting and escalation of material legal risks.
- Manage disputes, claims and pre-litigation matters, including assessment of legal positions, preparation of correspondence, negotiation of settlements and coordination of external counsel where required.
- Instruct, coordinate and manage external legal advisors for specialist legal advice, litigation, regulatory matters or other topics requiring local or expert support.
- Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments affecting the company’s energy contracting, heating and energy services business, and translate them into practical recommendations for the business.
- Contribute to the development of templates, internal processes and practical legal guidance to support efficient and compliant business operations.
What do we expect from you?
- German legal qualification as Volljurist / Volljuristin or another relevant legal education and qualification suitable for an in-house legal counsel role in Germany.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with management, sales, operations, project teams and other non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to identify material legal risks, prioritise effectively and escalate appropriately when needed.
- Experience with corporate governance, compliance frameworks and internal policies.
